Sequoia Heights will be participating in CamPossible again in the Summer 2009. Yes, we will send kids to camp again.

Jenness Park Christian Camp, owned and operated by the California Southern Baptist Convention, has been dedicated to meeting the spiritual needs of campers for more than 50 years. The camp provides everything needed to escape the stresses of one's routine and to enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors – God's creation. With a staff committed to servant leadership and an opportunity to breathe fresh mountain air, those who visit will leave re-energized spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Perched in the Sierra Nevadas near Sonora, Jenness Park is committed to reaching the lost, equipping believers and restoring His servants.

Mission work in Manteca

Ranger DaveChipper and Ranger Dave are hard at it, raising money for the kids to go to camp, and enlisting third to sixth graders to go again this year. The dates are June 24 to 28, 2009

CamPossible

Send third to sixth graders to camp for free??

This as exactly what our missions committee asked our church to do in the summer of 2006. Well, the church responded and sent about 100 that summer, then again another 100 in the summer of 2007! We called the project Campossible, because it would only be possible with the Lord's help to send that many kids to summer camp.

The Purpose?

To give any kids that want to go:

Is it successful?

Each year we have completely paid for about 100 kids to go to camp at a cost of about $250 each. The church starts raising money in February from the church members and friends of SHBC that have a heart for kids to hear the Gospel and to have Christian fun. All the money comes from donations, not fund raisers.
